The Bad: chicken marinated with wine, pan-fried dumplings.
The Good: soup dumplings, wonton with spicy sauce.
The Surprisingly Good: beef tendon in chili sauce, shrimp and egg fried rice.

I personally wasn't a fan of neither the pan-fried pork dumplings nor the chicken marinated with wine. The fried dumpling skin was rather thick and the pork was overcooked. The chicken was unusually bland for it to have been marinated. Thankfully, their soup dumplings and spicy wontons did not disappoint. What surprised me were the beef tendon in chili sauce and the shrimp and egg fried rice. The tendons were quite tender considering it's a cold dish and went well with the chili sauce. As for the fried rice, it's such a simple dish that anyone can make but it's hardly ever memorable. Most fried rices taste the same but this particular fried rice just tasted better.

This DTF location is larger than the one at First Markham Place. Finding parking depends on your luck and timing as it shares a parking lot with a few other stores. Service is on the slower side.

    Fake! A scam! Literally disgraceful.

Thought this was the real Din Tai Fung that originated from Taiwan, but no! This is a fake one that STOLE the name from the real one. Honestly, if they tasted good I wouldn't have minded the name, but the taste puts the real one to shame.

To have the same exact menu and similar price (unsure if it's the same), it was quite disappointing to find out the food was far from the world famous ones.

But! I must say their Kao Fu was really delicious. None of the supposedly spicy dishes were spicy. The Xiao Long Bao's were average. Rice was soggy.

Service was decent besides from the fact that the servers all stand in a line and watch you eat because of the lack of customers.

To be fair on my part, I should've walked out the moment I saw the hideous logo and the empty restaurant.

Make sure you read up on the other poor reviews, I'll prevent myself from repeating too much of what they also have said.

I love the soup filled crab meat dumplings here!! It's so tasty, in fact this is the only place in Toronto that imitates the most famous dumpling restaurant in Asia.  The Chinese name of this famous dumpling is Xiao long Bao.  With crab meat or not are both good.

The service is great here, people are very warm and polite.

This is a newer store than the original store in Hwy 7.  There are more tables, the whole place is cleaner, brighter and bigger.  It's is hardly a line up or long wait here.  With cleaner and newer renovations I prefer this location than the other location.

I think this place deserves a review considering I've been eating here almost every other week! I take my family here, I take my friends, I take my dates, and even my out of town visitors! This place has become a home for my taste-buds, the soup dumplings are something I can't go more than a few weeks without.

Recently, I've had the chance to eat at one of the Ding Tai fung in Taipei, and dare I say I think I like the one in Toronto more. The only difference is that the xiao long bao in Taipei had a thinner wrap.

Although the menus differ from restaurant to restaurant, make sure to try the xiao long bao, braised pork belly, braised beef noodles, dan dan noodles, chilli wontons, and rice with vegetables.

A decent xiao long bao place, came here when the sushi place beside was busy and found there to be lots of seating here instead.
The food here is decent but not amazing, I think there is also quite a of msg in the food. As after I finished eating I was extremely thirsty after.
Honestly I would come here for the xiao long bao and dumplings but other than that the noodles and rice are decent.
